  • Full-Time
  • 5 Days per Week
  • 7.5 Hours per Day
  • 37.5 Hours per Week

Job Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Assistant Director of Nursing) for the Labor & Delivery unit. This leadership role focuses on enhancing patient care quality, improving staff performance, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and staff performance
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care delivery across the unit
  • Collaborate with Nurse Managers to assess unit performance and implement improvements
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
  • Maintain systems for tracking medication errors and staff performance
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Support staff development, training, and performance evaluations

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong background in Labor & Delivery / Maternal-Child Nursing
  • Proven leadership and team management skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Licensure & Certification:

  • Active New York State RN License
  • Primary source verification required
  • BLS certification required

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in acute care hospital settings
  • Leadership experience in Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Child units
  • Strong experience in quality improvement and performance monitoring
  • Ability to implement corrective actions and drive operational improvements
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
