Job Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Assistant Director of Nursing) for the Labor & Delivery unit. This leadership role focuses on enhancing patient care quality, improving staff performance, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and staff performance
- Monitor and evaluate patient care delivery across the unit
- Collaborate with Nurse Managers to assess unit performance and implement improvements
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Maintain systems for tracking medication errors and staff performance
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Support staff development, training, and performance evaluations
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong background in Labor & Delivery / Maternal-Child Nursing
- Proven leadership and team management skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Licensure & Certification:
- Active New York State RN License
- Primary source verification required
- BLS certification required
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in acute care hospital settings
- Leadership experience in Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Child units
- Strong experience in quality improvement and performance monitoring
- Ability to implement corrective actions and drive operational improvements
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
