Travel/Contract Pharmacist Ventura County, CA (Multiple Practice Settings Available)
Position: Pharmacist
Location: Ventura County, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 36 months (temp-to-hire available)
Schedule: Full-time; mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts depending on site. Variable shifts including swing shifts, every other weekend, and holiday rotations.
Setting Options:
Option 1: Float Pharmacist supporting three sites within the system

Infusion center
Option 2: Infusion/Oncology-Focused Pharmacist

Primarily supporting the infusion center

Handling oncology and chemo-related medication workflows
Overview:
This health system is seeking a flexible and knowledgeable Pharmacist who can support multiple practice areas or specialize in infusion/oncology depending on preference and experience. The role offers consistent full-time hours and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
Responsibilities:

Verify and process medication orders across inpatient and infusion settings

Support oncology workflows including chemo preparation review and infusion coordination

Collaborate with providers, nurses, and allied health teams

Provide clinical support such as pharmacokinetics, medication monitoring, and therapy optimization
Ideal Candidate:
-
California Pharmacist license
-
Experience with Cerner preferred (training available)

PGY1 highly preferred
-
Oncology/chemo experience is a strong plus
