Job Summary
We are seeking a Bartender to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for taking customer orders, making drink recommendations, keeping the bar area clean and inviting, and creating a variety of traditional and creative cocktails. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, and is passionate about mixology.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including craft cocktails and specialty drinks.
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant and bar area.
- Confirm patrons are of legal drinking age and follow all state and federal laws for serving alcoholic beverages
- Manage cash, card, and member charge back transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Order, maintain, and restock inventory of bar supplies and ingredients
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Provide assistance to other staff members as needed, including helping with food service and events.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu and ingredients to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our drink menu and ingredients to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or bartending in a country club environment is preferred.
- Mixology or hospitality certification is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bar menu items
- Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Strong knowledge of food industry regulations and practices.
