Direct Care Professional - Child Care Specialist
Stetson School, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation - Barre, MA
4,000 Sign on Bonus!
Pay Rate 21.00 to 22.92 per hour based on experience
Schedule options:
2nd, Weekend and Overnight Shift
Stetson School is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to provide direct care and supervision to children and adolescents in a structured residential treatment setting. Child Care Specialists build supportive relationships, model positive behavior, and help maintain a safe and therapeutic living environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and ensure student safety at all times
- Support daily routines, life skills, and positive behavior using trauma informed practices
- Implement behavior support strategies and CPI - Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques, including physical intervention when required
- Complete shift documentation and incident reports accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, organized, and structured living environment
- Collaborate with clinical, educational, and residential team members
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass CORI, DCF, SORI, and federal fingerprint background checks
- Ability to remain alert and actively supervise students
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including physical interventions
Preferred
- Experience working with youth in residential, behavioral health, or human services settings
