Arkansas Talent Group's Executive Search Division has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a Chief Financial Officer with a premier Manufacturing Company based in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This client is a well-established manufacturing organization that operates multiple production facilities and is positioned for continued growth and operational excellence.
The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, leading all aspects of the company's financial management, accounting operations, procurement, IT, and investor relations. This role requires a hands-on, business-oriented financial leader capable of guiding a high-performing team, maintaining financial integrity, and supporting decision-making across a complex manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control functions to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for two operational plants, providing data-driven insights to guide performance and investment decisions
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives, capital planning, and risk management strategies
- Manage procurement and IT functions, ensuring cost efficiency, system reliability, and strong vendor relationships
- Serve as the primary liaison for investor relations, financial partners, and stakeholders, communicating financial performance and company vision
- Collaborate with legal counsel on key contracts, compliance matters, and corporate governance issues
- Support external CPA reviews, banking relationships, and tax compliance
- Supervise and mentor a team of approximately five accounting professionals, including a strong Controller
- Engage with the company's lobbyist and external advisors on financial and regulatory matters impacting operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-plant operations and cross-functional teams (accounting, IT, procurement)
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial modeling, and lean manufacturing principles
- Proven experience in investor relations and contract management
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- NetSuite experience is a plus
