Position Description Summary:
The Administrative Support Assistant provides essential administrative, timekeeping, travel, and coordination support to cross functional teams managing large-scale, multimillion dollar design and construction projects across the National Park Service. The AA ensures operational continuity, accuracy of administrative data, and timely support for project, contracting, planning, and budget staff.
Hybrid: 50% onsite at Denver Federal Center + 50% telework
Hours: Monday–Friday, 06:00–18:00 MT, with required core hours 09:00–15:00 MT
Responsibilities:
· Timekeeping & Records
o Serve as the divisional timekeeper.
o Enter, maintain, and update employee time and attendance records.
o Ensure accurate accounting codes and 100% accuracy for entries.
· Travel Coordination
o Coordinate all staff travel arrangements.
o Prepare travel authorizations, vouchers, approvals, and itineraries.
o Maintain travel tracking spreadsheets.
o Reconcile monthly travel card statements.
· Administrative Support
o Coordinate and schedule divisional meetings.
o Maintain professional communication and documentation.
o Provide additional administrative support as assigned.

· Confident working independently with minimal supervision
· Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders daily

· Required Minimum Qualifications
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o 2+ years of administrative support experience
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
o Strong data entry skills
o Experience with timekeeping, travel coordination, or financial/administrative tasks preferred
o Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· At least 2 years of administrative experience
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong data entry, communication, and problem-solving skills
Security Clearance Required:
· Contractor personnel must complete:
o Background Investigation (per DOI standards) - Public Trust
o IT Security Awareness Training (initial + annual)
o HSPD 12 credentialing steps
o NPS Rules of Behavior
