Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Pittsfield, MA, supporting students with significant disabilities in Sub Separate Classrooms. This role involves working with K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade students who require specialized instruction and personalized care due to cognitive and physical challenges. The position is onsite and involves a severe caseload, including students on the autism spectrum, some non-verbal, and those needing toileting assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to individual student needs.
  • Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who support some students.
  • Manage and support students behavioral and physical care requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credentials.
  • Experience in special education, particularly with severe disabilities.
  • Familiarity with specially designed instruction methods.
  • Applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide toileting support and assist with physical care needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
