Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our production team at our trailer manufacturing facility. The Carpenter is responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing wood components—such as floors, walls, partitions, and trim—into various types of trailers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the structural quality and craftsmanship of each trailer produced.

Pay Range $18 to $22
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut wood materials accurately according to blueprints or layout specifications.
- Install subfloors, wall panels, ceilings, and trim inside trailers.
- Operate hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns, sanders) safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Inspect completed work to ensure correct fit, finish, and alignment.
- Make necessary adjustments or repairs to components as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to be proactive in planning ahead, cutting the wood to size, and working with the other carpenters to install in the trailers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, or trailer/RV manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of woodworking tools and equipment.
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Familiarity with trailer manufacturing processes and materials.
