Job Description
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing
- Education (CCNE) or as otherwise identified in the TO.
- Work Experience: One Year of Experience in Nursing
- License: Current unrestricted RN license in one of the 50 US States and/or territories.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA or ARC issued
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-Advanced (NRP)
- Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support (STABLE)
- US Citizen
- NACI background check
Task and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to postpartum mothers and neonates. Experience caring for postoperative patients.
- Obtains patient history, pertinent family history, and advanced medical directive information. Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress assist physicians during treatments and examinations; administers medication and prescribed treatments, completes admissions and discharges, and promotes convalescence and rehabilitation.
- Manages care of patients for a wide range of procedures of an advanced nature and difficulty where there is a high risk for infection and bodily functions arc mechanically assisted by life support equipment.
- Knowledge of the transitional care of neonates is required.
