An opportunity is available for a registered nurse with experience in stepdown or progressive care units. This contract role offers a chance to apply your clinical skills in a fast-paced environment supporting patients requiring intermediate care.
Location: Lees Summit, Missouri
Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care on a 12-hour night shift schedule (1845-0715). This position involves caring for patients with complex needs, often utilizing high acuity interventions such as drips, arterial lines, and respiratory support devices like BiPAP and Airvo.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a progressive care or stepdown unit
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with high acuity patients and advanced monitoring (drips, arterial lines) is highly desirable
- Ability to work every other weekend and major holidays (with scheduling accommodations)
- Nicotine-free workplace compliance
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715)
- Orientation is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
- Every other weekend required
