A well-established construction company with 20+ years of experience is seeking a reliable Deck Builder / General Laborer to assist with the construction of a large deck over the next few months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected team and gain hands-on experience in residential construction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the construction of residential decks, including framing, installing boards, and finishing touches
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently (drills, hammers, tape measures, saws, etc.)
• Read and interpret project plans and take direction from the lead carpenter or supervisor
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, including material handling and debris removal
• Assist with general construction tasks, such as fence building or minor repair projects, as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in decking, fencing, framing, or general residential construction
• Solid understanding of construction tools, materials, and techniques
• Ability to follow directions accurately and work collaboratively with a team
• Strong physical stamina and comfort performing manual labor outdoors
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing projects on time
• Attention to detail and dedication to producing quality work
• Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work on uneven surfaces

Schedule & Work Environment:

This role is residential, outdoor work in Hillsboro, and the candidate must be able to commute to the jobsite. Hours may vary depending on project needs, and the position will require physical labor in various weather conditions.
