Job Description
This is a production MIG welding role focused on working with mild steel. The role involves using jigs and fixtures to perform high-volume welding of frames in various positions, including flat and overhead. Welders will follow work orders, set up jigs according to blueprints, and ensure precise welds.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel using jigs and fixtures.
- Work from work orders and blueprints to set up jigs and fixtures.
- Weld high volumes of frames accurately in various positions.
- Ensure welds meet blueprint specifications for city bus frames.
- Maintain safety and quality standards in welding operations.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience in production welding environments.
- Skilled in using measuring tools such as tape measures.
- Knowledge of welding in various positions including flat and overhead.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with TIG welding is advantageous.
- Prior experience in fitting and assembly is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.

Work Environment

The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. Positions are primarily on the 1st shift, from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the option to transition to a night shift. Opportunities for overtime and a rotating Saturday schedule are available, offering flexibility and additional earning potential.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
