Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist in a school setting located in Norman, OK. This role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to support the developmental and educational needs of students. The position requires a dedicated professional skilled in evaluating and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Travel between multiple school locations may be part of the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Provide direct occupational therapy services, including fine motor skill development and sensory integration techniques
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school and regulatory standards
- Consult with teachers and other staff to integrate therapy goals within the classroom environment
- Travel between assigned school locations as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license or certification in Oklahoma
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel locally between school sites
