*Job Opportunity: Massage Therapist (Contract Position)**
We are seeking a qualified Massage Therapist for a contract position at Greenleaf Holistic Wellness Center. Candidates must provide valid documentation of licensure in the state of Maine or possess a national license, which must be current. Additionally, professional liability insurance and general liability insurance are required.
We prefer candidates who specialize in Swedish massage, therapeutic massage, and deep tissue massage cupping . Proficiency in additional massage techniques will be considered an advantage. As this is a contract role, benefits are limited to a flexible schedule, with the expectation of availability on Saturdays. We request that you aim for three appointments per day during your scheduled workdays.
Major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day, Easter, and Labor Day are recognized as days off. Should you require time off for any reason, we ask for advance notice. If you are unable to fulfill a scheduled appointment, you may coordinate with another therapist to cover, but please note that payment will not be provided for those appointments that will go to the therapist who is covering for you. If you successfully reschedule with your clients, that arrangement is acceptable.
You are expected to maintain a clean and organized massage room, attend to your own cleanliness and your Clients , and assist with facility upkeep, including laundry during downtime.
We Participation in charitable events outside the facility is encouraged, and you will be compensated for your involvement. An employee shirt and a new pump bottle with holster will be provided.
All necessary supplies and equipment will be accessible; however, any specific items required for your techniques should be provided by you. If you like to have certain things in the massage room for you inspiration or Clients that is all up to you We just ask that you ask and notify us.
Interested candidates should submit a résumé, credentials, and references. Compensation includes 35% of the price for each massage session and they all have different price points. With all tips retained by the therapist from their Clients. Opportunities for incentives and bonuses will be available as both you and the company thrive.
Dress code standards require professional attire; jeans are not permitted unless we are doing an off day dress code or we are at an event but we still must wear our shirts. We recommend khakis or scrub pants, complemented by the provided employee shirt. We take pride in maintaining a clean, organized facility and in delivering attentive care to our clients, addressing their individual needs in their treatments.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, maintain detailed client notes, and follow up with clients regarding their treatment preferences. Upselling relevant products and services from Green leaf is encouraged. A positive attitude is essential; we understand that everyone has their off days and provide a designated space for reflection during quieter moments.
Respect and professionalism towards the management team and fellow employees are paramount. We expect all team members to communicate concerns directly with management, fostering a supportive and respectful workplace culture. If for any reason these can’t be resolved or followed we will effectively terminate your passion.
