Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a K-12 school setting located in Urbana, IL. This contract role involves managing a caseload of approximately 15 students, with the opportunity to renew into a full-time position for the next school year, expanding the caseload to 45-50 students. The ideal candidate will be fully licensed in the state of Illinois and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting students communication needs.
Key responsibilities include delivering individualized speech and language therapy services, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and families to optimize student progress. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is preferred, enhancing the ability to support diverse communication needs in the student population.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Illinois SLP license required
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in school-based SLP services, particularly K-12
- Background working in pediatrics and healthcare settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with AAC tools and strategies preferred
- Ability to work effectively with varied caseloads and student needs
