About This Role

Mt. Lakes Country Day School seeks mature individuals to work in our Infant classroom with children ranging in age from 4-18 months. This is a very rewarding job if you like working with young children.

Schedule:

  • Part-time hours: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • 2 to 5 days per week, based on availability

We offer a rewarding and supportive environment with one of the lowest teacher-to-child ratios in the area. Our assistant teachers play a key role in creating a nurturing and engaging space for children to learn and grow. Responsibilities include participating in developmentally appropriate activities such as tabletop and floor play, reading, art projects, and more.

What You'll Do

Duties include:

  • assisting children with afternoon activities including art, story time, gross motor play, table top/fine motor activities, etc.
  • diapering if applicable
  • light classroom cleaning (wiping tables, sweeping floors)
  • keeping children safe and open communication with parents and fellow staff



Requirements

You must love working with young children! The position is 2-5 days per week from 3:00-6:00 PM.

About Us

Mountain Lakes Country Day School provides quality care for infants, ages 6 weeks to 18 months; toddlers, ages 18 to 36 months; preschoolers, ages 3 to 4 years, and kindergartners, ages 4 to 6 years. Classrooms are broken down by age group and activities are planned for small groups on the principles of developmentally appropriate practices using The Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies.Our center is open all year with limited closings for holidays and staff training.
