Apply today start tomorrow get paid weekly! Ascend Staffing is hiring immediately for a motivated Cashier & Yard Helper for a well-established lumber and hardware company in Olympia, WA.
This position requires weekend availability.
Lumber or hardware experience is required.

Day Shift: 6:55 AM 3:30 PM (start time may vary)
Monday through Saturday
Weekend availability required
Days off may vary
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers in person and over the phone
Recommend lumber and hardware products with confidence
Measure and cut wood accurately using a tape measure
Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate
Process purchases, returns, and refunds
Support yard operations including stacking lumber, organizing inventory, and maintaining materials
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and yard environment
Document customer interactions and update account information
Meet team performance goals
Follow company safety procedures and customer service standards
Qualifications
Lumber or hardware experience required
Previous customer service experience preferred
Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills
Valid Drivers License (required once hired permanently)
Reliable transportation
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
Must be able to pass pre-employment U.A. for THC/Marijuana
Eligible to work in the U.S.
