Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide skilled nursing care as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room setting, delivering patient-centered care tailored to diverse age groups. This role focuses on maintaining high-quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with established unit standards. Responsibility includes collaborating with healthcare staff, ensuring respectful communication, and adhering to organizational values.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement emergency patient care according to clinical standards.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Uphold patient rights and confidentiality at all times.
  • Participate in continuous education and skills development.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact nursing license.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • TNCC, ATCN, CPI, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in emergency nursing and age-specific care considerations.
  • Ability to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to infectious diseases and bloodborne pathogens.
  • Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, and patient handling.
  • Ability to manage stressful and fast-paced situations with professionalism.
  • Cleaning and ventilated smoke-free setting.

This is a contract role with night shifts starting January 12, 2026. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate unexpected changes and emergencies.
