Travel Requirement: May cover multiple local sites as neededJob SummaryThe Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) provides professional and compassionate blood collection services in a fast-paced clinical setting. Acting as the face of the organization, the PSR II ensures accurate specimen collection and preparation while delivering exceptional patient care. The role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and commitment to upholding company and safety standards.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, and pediatric/geriatric blood draws
  • Verify patient identification and specimen labeling at collection time
  • Accurately document patient data and maintain chain of custody
  • Prepare specimens for lab transport and testing
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and company procedures
  • Maintain a clean and professional workspace
  • Support daily operations under minimal supervision
  • Provide coverage for additional locations as needed
  • Exhibit strong customer service and communication skills
  • Uphold the organization’s core values and patient care principles

Required Experience

  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Experience in a Patient Service Center preferred
  • Customer service background in healthcare or retail strongly preferred
  • Accurate data entry and computer proficiency

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience performing collections in high-volume healthcare environments
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record or lab information systems
  • Multi-site or mobile phlebotomy experience

Required Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent — Required
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training — Preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification — Preferred (mandatory only in CA, NV, WA)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if travel required)

Required Skills

  • Excellent phlebotomy and specimen-handling techniques
  • Strong patient interaction and communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in computer-based reporting and scheduling
  • Ability to manage multiple patient appointments and priorities
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules or coverage needs

  • Training location may vary based on trainer availability
  • Must follow all company dress code, confidentiality, and safety guidelines
