About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, playing a crucial role in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will be responsible for proactively engaging with prospective clients through various outbound strategies, nurturing leads, and scheduling introductory meetings for our sales team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Qualification:
    • Conduct thorough research on competitors, consumer behavior, market trends, and product developments to identify new business opportunities.
    • Analyze customer personas and target audience demographics to generate high-quality leads.
    • Compile and maintain organized lists of potential leads with comprehensive information.
  • Outbound Prospecting:
    • Initiate outbound contact with prospective customers through cold calls, email campaigns, and other social strategies.
    • Develop and implement engaging email campaigns to attract and nurture new leads.
    • Effectively articulate Wyzia's value proposition and how our payment solutions can address the specific needs of potential clients.
  • Collaboration & Hand-off:
    • Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing and product teams to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads and scheduled meetings.
    • Provide the sales team with comprehensive information on qualified prospects, including their pain points and interests.
  • Networking & Market Intelligence:
    • Attend virtual and in-person networking events to build and maintain professional relationships within regulated markets.
    • Gather and report on market intelligence, including competitor activities and emerging industry trends.
  • Performance & Reporting:
    • Meet and exceed weekly, quarterly, and annual quotas for various metrics, including emails sent, calls made, and meetings scheduled.
    • Accurately track and record all outreach activities and lead interactions in our CRM system.

    • Highly organized with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Proficient in recording outreach activities and tracking progress towards goals.
  • Strategy Building & Business Acumen:
    • Ability to develop creative strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand market dynamics and differentiate our solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish trust with potential clients.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales representatives and account executives.
  • Proactive & Self-Motivated:
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Results-driven with a strong desire to achieve targets and contribute to team success.
  • Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree completed
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience post-graduation in customer service or sales
  • Prior work experience in a BDR or SDR role in lieu of college degree would also be considered
