RCM Healthcare Services is looking for a Summer School Occupational Therapist to work in and around Lennox, CA school districts.

\n\n

In-Person position available for the Summer School session: June 15 – July 10
\nSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

\n\n

This is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist looking for a short-term summer assignment supporting students with special education needs in a school-based setting.

\n\nQualifications\n\n

    \n\t
  • \n\t

    Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

    \n\t\n\t

  • \n\t

    Valid California Occupational Therapy License

    \n\t\n\t

  • \n\t

    NBCOT certification preferred

    \n\t\n\t

  • \n\t

    Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred

    \n\t\n\t

  • \n\t

    Ability to collaborate with school staff and multidisciplinary teams

    \n\t\n\t

  • \n\t

    Ability to work independently and manage a small caseload during the summer session

    \n\t\n

\n\nPrimary Purpose\n\n

Serve as the occupational therapist responsible for evaluating students’ functional and developmental needs and implementing therapy programs designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in the educational environment during the summer school program.

\n\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities\n\n

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with IEPs participating in the extended school year (ESY) program.
\n• Conduct screenings or brief evaluations when appropriate and review existing IEP goals to guide therapy services.
\n• Implement therapy interventions that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual motor integration, self-regulation, and functional participation in classroom activities.
\n• Collaborate with special education teachers and classroom staff to support student engagement and participation during summer instruction.
\n• Provide services in classroom or small-group settings when appropriate.
\n• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and services provided in accordance with district guidelines.
\n• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals during the summer session and provide progress updates as required.
\n• Recommend strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment to support student independence and participation.
\n• Participate in brief team meetings or consultations with school staff as needed during the summer program.
\n• Ensure compliance with district policies, timelines, and professional standards of practice.
\n• Utilize technology and district systems to maintain documentation and scheduling.

\n\nCompensation\n\n

Positions begin at $55/hour based on experience
