We're expanding our remote special education team to serve students throughout New Hampshire's virtual education programs. This opportunity bines the flexibility of remote work with the meaningful impact of supporting students with exceptional learning needs.
Role Overview
This remote position enpasses 35.5 hours per week serving approximately 20 students across elementary through high school grade levels. You'll utilize cutting-edge educational technology to deliver personalized instruction while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with educational teams and families.
Core Teaching Duties
- Design and implement specialized instruction aligned with individual student IEP goals
- Provide direct instruction in core academic areas with modifications and acmodations
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement positive behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with related service providers including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school psychologists
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and transition planning conferences
- Monitor student progress through systematic data collection and regular assessments
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of student services and outes
Instructional Focus Areas
Your diverse caseload will include students requiring intensive academic support in reading prehension, mathematical reasoning, written expression, and social skills development. You'll work with students across the autism spectrum, those with cognitive impairments, and students with emotional behavioral challenges requiring specialized interventions.
Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education, Learning Disabilities, or related educational field
- Current New Hampshire Special Education teaching license in good standing
- Two or more years of experience providing special education services in educational settings
- Expertise in evidence-based instructional practices and behavioral interventions
- Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and assistive technology solutions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage plex caseloads effectively
- Excellent written and verbal munication abilities
Technology and Virtual Learning
