Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level II NICU position requiring recent NICU travel experience and expertise with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose management.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 42-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
  • Care for premature infants and neonates with respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, and related conditions
  • Administer vasopressors, sedation, and glucose as needed
  • May be required to float to general pediatrics and PICU
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • No first-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Must be willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for critically ill neonates
  • Holiday coverage requires working 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
  • Requesting more than 1 day off is limited between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2 regardless of holidays worked

  • Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 24 months NICU experience required
  • Documented experience and comfort with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose administration required
  • Active BLS (AHA or ARC) and NRP certifications required
  • Must have completed a travel contract within the past 18 months
  • Driver’s license required for consideration
  • One supervisory reference from within the past 24 months is preferred
