Job Description
Purpose
The Finance Lead reports to the Associate Director, Immunology Finance and provides financial leadership and business support for the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements of the Rheumatology business. This role ensures compliance with financial policies and oversees FP&A activities related to Actuals, Plan, Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), Long Range Plans (LRP), and ad hoc analysis as needed to support day-to-day operations and the strategic plan for the Rheumatology and Immunology therapeutic area.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for tracking promotional, marketing and sales force budgets for the US Rheumatology franchise. Analyze monthly actual results, comparing them against benchmarks (Plan/LBEs) to identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead all aspects of the planning processes (Plan/LBE/LRP) by ensuring deliverables are accurate, clear and concise for management review and approval.
- Perform monthly close activities, including headcount reporting and variance analysis. Prepare monthly management packages with key stories and issues highlighted.
- Partner with Business Unit Vice President and the brand leads to understand business needs and deliver accurate, meaningful financials that provide business insights.
- Leads financial reviews and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices).
- Lead and support ad hoc analysis, key projects and process improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.
