Tax Senior – Client Review & Quality Lead (On-Site – Atlanta, GA)

We’re scaling quickly and need an experienced Tax Senior who can take ownership of client-facing reviews, maintain quality across our prep team, and help us continue delivering excellence at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Review individual, partnership, S-Corp, and small business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120-S).
- Lead client-facing review calls — explain results clearly and confidently.
- Catch technical and compliance issues before returns are finalized.
- Train and coach junior preparers; provide structured feedback loops.
- Maintain and improve internal review SOPs and client communication templates.
- Identify recurring tax planning and advisory opportunities.
- Collaborate with the leadership team in weekly DOER loops (Plan → Execute → Review).
Who You Are
- 5–7+ years of experience in tax preparation and review, ideally in a small firm or private practice.
- Deep understanding of small business taxation and entity structures.
- Confident communicator with clients — can translate complexity into clarity.
- Efficient and decisive: you know when “good” is good enough to move the work forward.
- Skilled at mentoring or reviewing others’ work.
- Comfortable using modern tools (cloud tax software, ClickUp, Loom, etc.).
- CPA or EA preferred, but strong non-credentialed candidates will be considered.
Compensation & Growth
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 (DOE)
- Bonus: Up to 15% based on accuracy, review turnaround time, and client satisfaction
- Career Path: Growth to Tax Manager within 12–18 months for top performers
