AuBurn Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our Long-Term Care facility in Olathe, Kansas. This is a full-time position focused on the preparation and compounding of sterile intravenous (IV) medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines, company policies, and USP standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare sterile IV medications using aseptic technique in a clean room environment.

Accurately compound IV admixtures including antibiotics, TPNs, and hydration therapies.

Maintain compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards.

Label, package, and document compounded products for delivery to long-term care facilities.

Maintain inventory and proper storage of IV supplies and medications.

Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication preparation and delivery.

Follow all safety, infection control, and hazardous waste procedures.

Participate in training, quality control, and regular audits of the IV room.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Kansas Pharmacy Technician Registration required.

National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.

Prior experience in sterile compounding or hospital/LTC pharmacy strongly preferred.

Understanding of USP <797> and <800> standards.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
