Job DescriptionResponsibilities
- Understand automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles.
- Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers; suggesting trade-ins; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions.
- Qualifying buyers by understanding buyers' requirements and interests; matching requirements and interest to various models; building rapport.
- Demonstrate automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services.
- Closes sales by overcoming objectives; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales documents; explaining provisions; explaining and offring warranties, services and financing; collects payment; detailed delivery of automobile.
- Provides information to sales management by completing reports.
- Updates job and product knowledge as required by manufacturer and Vardaman Honda.
- Communicates professionally and provides updates on customer interests and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience is highly preferred.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must stay current with various training and certification requirements of American Honda Motor Company, Inc. and Vardaman Honda, Inc.
- Must maintain clean cut professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Must be able to perform various computer access and functions used in the sales process.
- Must submit to and successfully pass a background and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must be able to work and function in a team environment.
