Duration: Full-Time, 20252026 School Year
Overview:
We are looking for committed and enthusiastic Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 20252026 academic year. In this role, you will work closely with fellow educators, families, and specialists to ensure students receive the individualized support and resources they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Engage students through a variety of instructional methods and technologies
- Monitor student progress and modify teaching strategies as needed
- Maintain open and consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding student development and goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)
- Current Rhode Island Professional Educator License with an LBS1 Teaching EndorsementProven experience supporting students with a range of disabilities and learning needsSolid knowledge of IEP creation and implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive tools
- Understanding of behavior intervention and positive behavior support methods
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
