Role and Responsibilities
1. Operating machine according to standard operating procedures.
2. Continuously monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities.
3. Troubleshoot and report any mechanical issues to the Shop Foreman/maintenance team.
4. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
5. Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
6. Maintain logs of production activities, machine performance and any incidents.
7. Make sure each container of parts has proper identification tags when moving to next department.
8. Performs daily planned preventive machine maintenance and assists with overall machine maintenance as required.
9. Performs daily house cleaning activities to include keeping work area clean and clear of unused material. Return tooling to proper storage area at completion of job.
10. Consistently shows up for work at assigned times needed to complete tasks assigned.
11. Effectively communicates verbally or in writing as required with the next shift to pass on relevant information to maintain optimum quality and process capacity.
12. Other duties and special projects that may be assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Required – High school diploma or GED
• Desired – 2 yr Vo-tech degree on machining or related field
Preferred Skills
• Self-starter able to work with minimal direction
• Good general math skills
• High mechanical aptitude, initiative and creativity is a must
• Strong mechanical skills
• Experience in operating on onsite equipment
Mental & Physical demands/working conditions
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
· Ability to understand drawing requirements.
· Ability to understand measurement techniques.
· Able to stand for extended periods with frequent bending or stooping.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

We are strategically located 12 miles west of Interstate 35, just off the crossroad of US Highway 14 and MN Highway 13 in Waseca MN.
Our manufacturing facility offers a wide variety of contract machining services, including machining intermediate-size steel and iron ductile castings, aluminum castings and bar stock, stainless steel, and other materials. Other services provided include screw machine products, precision cylindrical grinding, and some assembly of components for various applications.
