About the Role
As a Travel Emergency Department RN, you will provide specialized nursing care in fast-paced emergency settings. This role typically involves:
- Working 12-hour shifts with a focus on patient assessment and emergency procedures.
- Utilizing your skills in IV insertion, EKG monitoring, and drug administration.
- Operating emergency department equipment and electronic medical records (EMR).

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department.
- Work independently with a patient ratio of 1:4.
- Utilize equipment such as GE Monitors, Nursecall systems, and Zoll Defibs.
- Document patient information using Meditech EMR.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A valid VA License.
- At least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
- Strong skills in IV insertion, EKG monitoring, and patient assessment.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Experience in a Freestanding ED setting is preferred.
- Ability to independently mix pharmacy drugs such as Tpa and KCentra is a plus.
