Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with experience in at least two of four modalities — Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro — for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 180 staffed beds
- Cath Lab unit with scrub technologist focus, specializing in Cardiac Cath and at least one of the following: Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call is required on a case-by-case basis with no set schedule; specifics will be discussed with the nurse manager
- Weekend requirements are flexible and can be discussed with the manager
- Floating is required within clinical scope to meet facility needs, including to sister hospitals within 20 miles (Martin North, South, and Tradition campuses)
- Charting is done in Epic
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in the specialty; 2 years preferred
- Experience in at least two of the following four modalities is required and must be clearly reflected in work history: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
- RCVT or RCIS certification preferred
- License required if applicable — no pending licenses accepted
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) is required

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront; RTO added after submission will likely not be approved
- Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized and completed promptly upon assignment confirmation
- Block schedules cannot be accommodated
- This is a smoke-free and nicotine-free facility with no exceptions
