Key Responsibilities:

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications to plan fitting and welding operations.

Fitting and Assembly: Fit and assemble structural frameworks and components according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and fit.

Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components.

Quality Assurance: Inspect fitted and welded assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on welding and fitting equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience as a fitter/welder in a fabrication shop environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to operate welding and fitting equipment and tools.

Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in fitting and welding tasks.

Physical Ability: Capability to work in various positions and environments, including handling large and heavy components safely.
