Nuclear Medicine Technologist | Encino, CA
Assignment: 4–6 Month Temporary Role
Pay Range: $75–$85 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Outpatient Clinic Setting
We are seeking a temporary, licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 4–6-month assignment at our Encino, CA outpatient mental wellness clinic. You will play a vital role in conducting brain SPECT scans, preparing and administering doses, and ensuring imaging quality and regulatory compliance. This is a high-volume clinic, and the ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to provide compassionate care to both children and adults. ✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Perform brain SPECT scans and conduct daily QA/QC procedures
- Prepare IVs and administer radiopharmaceutical doses
- Process and print scan images before the end of each workday
- Maintain Odyssey imaging system and accurate patient logs
- Conduct hot lab operations and daily radiation safety checks
- Order correct isotopes in advance and manage dose deliveries
- Perform regulatory calibrator tests (leak, linearity, geometry, accuracy)
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and inventory of medical supplies
Requirements:
- Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in California
- Prior experience in high-volume outpatient or clinical settings
- Proven ability to manage challenging or pediatric patient interactions
- Excellent time management, independence, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Empathy, emotional stability, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with brain imaging preferred
- Experience with Picker Prism 3000 system is a plus
