Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school serving 1st grade students in a Functional Academics ESN class. This contract role is for the current school year and requires working onsite.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Collaborating with paraeducators or related service staff provided by the district
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet students learning goals
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development sessions
- Maintaining compliance with district policies and safety protocols
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Valid Moderate to Severe Special Education teaching certification
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students with significant learning needs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Willingness to engage in required onboarding steps, including fingerprinting and training
Location: Vallejo, CA (onsite at an elementary school)
Job type: Full-time contract for the current school year
Candidates will be interviewed promptly with decisions made within 48 hours of the interview. A signed contract is required prior to starting. The district provides support personnel to assist in the classroom setting, ensuring a collaborative environment.
