Cash Application Specialist


Location: On-site (Full-time) Schaumburg


Pay Range: $23–$25 per hour, based on experience

Overview:


LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Application Specialist to join the team in a fully on-site capacity. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable and cash application processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts using ERP systems

  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Collections, Billing, Customer Service) to resolve payment issues

  • Monitor unapplied cash and follow up on outstanding items

  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all cash application activities

  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting as needed

  • Support process improvement initiatives within the cash application function

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information:

  • This is a fully on-site role; remote work is not available

  • The position is temporary to permanent, with potential for long-term growth within the company

  • Pay range is $23–$25 per hour, based on experience
