A nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Stepdown care in Lone Tree, CO. This contract position involves providing direct patient care on a Progressive Care Unit, supporting patients requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. The role emphasizes cardiac patient care, requiring proficiency in critical nursing skills and teamwork.
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with Stepdown experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Preferred: Experience with cardiac care, including drips and caths
- Ability to operate cardiac monitoring equipment and use dynamap and lifts
- Strong teamwork and positive attitude are essential
Location:The assignment is based in Lone Tree, Colorado, a vibrant community known for its scenic views of the Rocky Mountains and a comfortable suburban feel. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for patients in a 38-bed Progressive Care Unit
- Manage cardiac drips, post cardiac catheterization care, and s/p VATS patients
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and assistive technology to ensure safety
- Collaborate effectively with a team of 73 clinical staff, including RNs and MSTs, to maintain patient ratios of 4-5 per nurse
- Adhere to unit policies and guidelines promoting patient and staff safety
This contract role offers a schedule on the 5th floor med/tele/PCU unit during the 7 PM to 7 AM shift, with the benefit of self-scheduling options and newly installed lift and mobility technology to support safe patient handling.
