Job DescriptionA day in the life in Templeton, MA

You arrive on the floor to review the queue, confirm programs, and set the pace for precision forming. You walk the Amada press brakes, verify tooling selections, confirm backgauge positions, and oversee calibration. A first-article check with measurement gauges validates form accuracy before production ramps. Throughout the day, you coach operators, partner with engineering on prints and bend sequences, and keep production flowing with safe, efficient setups.

What you'll do

• Lead all setup activity on Amada press brakes to maximize throughput and accuracy.
• Oversee machine setup, calibration, and day-to-day operation of press brake equipment.
• Create, refine, and roll out standard operating procedures for brake forming.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure parts meet blueprint and specification requirements.
• Train, mentor, and reinforce safety-first habits across the forming team.
• Monitor runs, troubleshoot forming issues, and remove bottlenecks in real time.
• Maintain accurate logs of production metrics and preventative maintenance activity.
• Uphold all safety regulations and company policies on the shop floor.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• 5+ years of press brake experience within a high-performing fabrication environment.
• Deep knowledge of press brake machinery, tooling, bend allowances, and setup practices.
• Clear, steady leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and practices.
