Job DescriptionWire Cutter/ Material Handler- Weekly Pay $18-$19hr! Job Description
The majority of your time will be spent picking and packing orders in the warehouse. Your main duty will be to help pack out job pack orders, ensuring everything is packed correctly. You will also load and unload shipments for the distribution center, assist with loading customers' vehicles, help with job pack materials, and handle UPS pack outs. In addition to operating a forklift, you will be moving boxes and pallets throughout the day. The other part of your job will be wire cutting on big industrial wire spools.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the forklift/boom lift according to the methods and procedures described during training.
- Safely handle pallets and load/unload customer vehicles according to branch-specific instructions and the material handling methods described during training.
- Safely load and unload commercial and company trucks, containers, and trailers according to branch-specific instructions and the methods and procedures described during training.
- Pull the correct boxes for orders and transfers, stage or place the pulled boxes in the correct location, and handle the associated paperwork according to branch-specific procedures and the methods described during training.
- Cutting wire from industrial spools.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of prior warehouse experience.
- Experience working in a physically demanding environment lifting 70+ lbs regularly.
- Wire cutting experience is required.
- Safety-oriented mindset and comfort working with forklifts or boom lifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift experience is a significant advantage.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pflugerville, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
