Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols to execute precise welding tasks.
- Ensure quality and strength in welds while minimizing distortion and warping.
- Prepare materials before welding and adhere to safety standards throughout the process.
- Maintain familiarity with OSHA regulations and implement necessary safety precautions.
- Operate various welding machines and tools efficiently, ensuring optimal performance.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to work with stainless steel and mild steel materials.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
- Capability to pass both math and MIG/TIG weld tests.
- Experience working in various welding positions such as flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
- Must possess a welding helmet and gloves.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in fabrication and grinding.
- Understanding of safety standards related to welding.

Work Environment
Work in a large, clean, and organized warehouse where safety is prioritized. The facility includes various welding departments such as Sheet Metal, Tubular, and Prove Design. Welders are provided with individual booths equipped with snorkel systems for debris collection. All necessary PPE is provided, except for welding helmets and gloves, which candidates must bring themselves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
