Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support to students in grades K-12 within a contract duration covering the plete school year. This role is based in Williamsburg, VA, and focuses on delivering specialized educational services within an elementary or middle school caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in pliance with school policies and legal regulations.
- Participate actively in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably within elementary or middle school settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively while fostering student growth and independence.
