CNC Machinist | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Perform quality inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Adjust machine offsets, tool settings, and program parameters to ensure part accuracy and optimize production.
• Load and unload raw materials, fixtures, and tooling.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms or production issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
• Proficiency in CMM operation or programming
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with 4-axis or 5-axis machining
