Your Role

As the Charge Nurse in the Cardiovascular Lab (CVL), you will:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Lead a team of nurses and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with catheterizations and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer medications and support the medical team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification required at time of hire
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • Specialty certifications in area of practice preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate Cath Lab nursing staff activities.
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
  • Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and provide timely updates to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
