Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and quick thinking Crisis & Access Line Coordinator to support individuals in real-time during moments of emotional distress, mental health crisis, or urgent need for services.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact, providing support, assessing risk, and helping connect callers to the care they need.

What You’ll Do

Answer incoming crisis and support calls with empathy and professionalism
Conduct risk assessments (including suicide risk) and safety planning
De-escalate high-stress situations and provide emotional support
Connect callers to mental health, medical, and community resources
Coordinate dispatch of mobile crisis units when needed
Document all interactions accurately and in compliance with protocols
Participate in follow-up support for high-risk individuals

✅ What We’re Looking For

1+ year experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, or human services
Strong communication and active listening skills
Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure
Experience with documentation and basic computer systems (EHR a plus)
Flexible and reliable with scheduling (evenings, weekends, holidays as needed)

Bonus: Bilingual skills or experience working with underserved populations
