Large Parts Assembly Technician
Location: Houston, TX 77092
Pay: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to support the production of large, high-pressure industrial equipment used in demanding cleaning and surface preparation applications. This role involves assembling complex components, ensuring product quality, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble large equipment and components using hand tools, drawings, and bills of materials
- Follow detailed work instructions, checklists, and engineering specifications
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and correct assembly issues, defects, or malfunctions
- Test completed units to ensure proper functionality prior to shipment
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, and production data
- Monitor parts and materials; report shortages or non-conforming items
- Maintain production pace to meet daily and weekly schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with cross-training and support team operations as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings, instructions, and measurements
- Experience assembling large or complex parts is a strong plus
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and work independently
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Work with large, heavy components and high-pressure equipment
- Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Frequent standing, lifting, and hands-on work
- Team-oriented environment with a focus on quality and efficiency
