Job Title: Travel LPN / LVN – Pediatrics (ED Experience Required)
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift:

• Day Shift: 3x12 Hours (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Night Shift: 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) experience for a hospital-based assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in acute care and capable of performing clinical procedures with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in a pediatric emergency/acute care setting
• Perform IV placement and phlebotomy
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient progress
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical areas
• Administer injections and assist with various procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling and documentation
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for patient documentation
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments

Schedule & Work Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts (day or night)
• Must work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements:

• Current New York State LPN license
• CPR certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Pediatric ED or acute care experience required
• IV placement and phlebotomy skills required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with EMR systems preferred
