Job Summary
Full or Part -Time negotiable. We are seeking a talented Controller/Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the President and the fractional CFO and CPA department to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the companys compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. The position also requires strong MS365 skills as well as experience and aptitude with ERP systems. We are an Acumatica ERP user. Highly organized, positive energy professional with strong and communication and team rapport building skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions - using our ERP Acumatica
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Prepare trial balance
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Complete required tax forms
- Assist with Pay Roll and HR administrative tasks
- Assist with HR admin tasks
- skills and willingness to assist with other business operation tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field experience
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- ERP experience, Acumatica a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Team player with friendly, and positive demeanor
