Oncology Director needed to work Mon-Fri 8A-5P (may vary depending on the department need).
On Call/Callback requirement: As a Director, must be available for clinic needs 24/7.
PTO request 2 week notice; sick call - 2 hours prior to shift.
Certifications: OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse); and/or AOCN (Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Pharmacy.
Must have min 5 years' experience.
EMR: Meditech Expanse.
Required Skillset:
Must possess operational knowledge for Oncology Center Operations, hospital-based clinic knowledge preferred.
Experience with the financial functions/cycle of oncology clinics needed.
Marketing experience or knowledge preferred to market to local and surrounding customers.
Knowledge and support of the care coordination needed for cancer patients needed to provide care for this specialty.
Must be detail oriented, results-oriented, and analytical in patient and financial matters.
Superior ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
Advanced computer knowledge required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Knowledge in multiple Electronic Health Record systems a plus.
Unit Overview: Manage 14-16 FTE's including nursing, clerical and radiation oncology technicians.
