Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to work as a Cath Lab Technologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging technologies. Located in Pelham, AL, this contract role involves working in a state-of-the-art cath lab equipped with cutting-edge systems including Merge Hemo and transitioning electronic medical records from Cerner to Epic. The role supports cardiac care teams by delivering specialized interventional and imaging support to patients within a focused four-lab department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain cath lab imaging equipment such as IABP, Impella, laser, and shockwave devices.
- Perform catheterization procedures and assist during cardiac interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered cardiac care.
- Ensure compliance with CMS and Occupational Health standards.
- Support documentation and data entry using Merge Hemo and Cerner EMR systems.
- Participate in call rotations and work on the scheduled shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years cath lab technology experience; 5+ years preferred.
- Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and AHA NIH; RCIS certification preferred.
- Proficient in advanced cardiac imaging and cath lab technologies including Phillips panning.
- Prior experience with Merge Hemo software preferred.
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, initiative, accountability, and punctuality.
Schedule:
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
- One day per week plus one weekend day per month are required for call coverage.
