Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Join Alta Animal Hospital as a Vet Tech/Assistant, where your passion for animal care meets a supportive and dynamic team environment. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients while working alongside dedicated professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations and assist veterinarians during procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and record vital signs and behavioral changes in animals.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Provide compassionate care and education to pet owners.
- Assist with laboratory tests and diagnostics.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic.
- Support the front desk with client communication and scheduling.
Requirements:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor towards animals and their owners.
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance preferred.
- Proficient in the use of veterinary software and technology.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
