Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time school psychologist position is available in Troy, NY, providing comprehensive psychological services within a school setting. This contract role supports students from various grade levels, serving approximately 30-40 schools with a caseload designed to promote student well-being and academic success. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., with onsite responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across grade levels
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and support services to students
- Attend meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- NY School Psychologist Certification required
- Proven experience working as a school psychologist in educational settings
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, psychological testing, and intervention methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families effectively
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple schools within the district
Location: Troy, NY onsite work required to support direct interaction with students and educational staff.
